At Alere Care we recognise that young people leaving care may need support in making the transition to full independence. We aim to offer a flexible and sensitive service, appropriate to individual needs.
After an agreed period of time the level of input from the project worker will be reduced as the young person takes more responsibility for their own needs. A clear expectation therefore is that all young people will be able to start handling their finances appropriately.
Alere Care is devised with the expressed interest of working exclusively with care leavers in order to give them the necessary skills to live independently. This we accomplish through the use of semi independence units that are established within the community. |
